I saw an interview a long time ago whereby Joe Brown stated he had been given an echo chamber but didn't get on with it so gave it to Hank. Good Ol Joe.

Hank said that Joe Brown invited him to test his echo box, and he liked it, but wasn't given or sold it. JMI already provided Vox amps for the Shadows and imported the Meazzi echo boxes, so Hank asked for one and got it...
I wonder if the echo Jou Brown had was a Meazzi. You never hear much echo on Joe's playing, however he was one one the early pioneers, a great player and still tours today. I saw him last year. Great ukulele player too. The earliest echos I had access to were mainly Watkins Copicats. My friend had a baby Binson. First Meazzi I saw was with the Barron Knights and it was a Meazzi Factotum pa. As I recall they were using Binson amps
