Totally off topic - The Classmates

Postby nivram106 » 17 Jul 2014, 21:49

Hello All

Can anyone help, one of my favourite tracks from the 60's (1963 to be exact) was 'Go Tell It On The Mountain' by The Classmates on Decca F11779. Has it ever been released on a CD? as I would like to (re)add it to my collection.
I am sure one of you clever people can help

Thanks in advance

Hi Jim

I don't know if the song has been released on a CD but there seem to be a few versions of it on YouTube. Why don't you just convert it into an Mp3 file and put it on a CD yourself? I have "recorded" dozens of CDs that way.

Thanks Lassi but the Classmates version is not on You Tube, I have only seen it as a 45rpm single and there does not appear to be an MP3 available anywhere either.

Cheers

Thanks Alan,
I have taken a chance and ordered a copy. I haven't used them before either but I have paid with PayPal so hopefully it should be ok.

Thanks again for your help, what a great community this is
Cheers

Thanks again Alan

The CD arrived safely today from Germany. A CDR but very good quality (dis & inlay) well worth the money. Thanks for your help in locating this.

Cheers
