Brian Bennett Talks about vince Taylor . There are References to The Shadows 2i's etc

As most people know, Vince Taylor had a quite successul, but short career in France after getting a contract with the Barclay record company. I remember seing him on stage at the Paris Olympia, and his set was quite good. But at this time I knew nothing about his early career in England.

Was his drummer the first one to use two bass drums?
I have always thought that Cream was first...

Louis Bellson, the American big band drummer may have been the first to use a double bass drum kit
back in the 1950s.
Possibly in U.K. it was Eric Delaney around the same time?

Eric was definitely using a twin bass drum kit back in the fifties, and much else besides...
