This thread has greatly disappointed me. I was originally going to pose my Burns guitar question directly to the Burns Company, since I bought my Burns directly from them. But I thought it would be more fun to ask the question here, as this is a Shadows fan site and it would allow more people to participate in the conversation - and maybe someone else might have wanted to know the answer besides me. I was happy at the point in time where I posted a thank you. Since then, I have checked in on this thread, and I and am disappointed - but not surprised - to see that people have used this as yet another opportunity to argue with me, and to argue with each other. The arguments never end. All this because I asked what year the Burns brand 12-string guitar was invented because it seemed to be earlier than 1964 when the Burns Marvin guitars debuted. It was an air-tight question, with no element of controversy in it, and the simple answer was 1963. This is absolute proof that I cannot ask ask a simple question without it turning ugly. If you want to disagree with that statement, that's fine. But, I will not ask any more questions on this site because I don't like arguments. And there's a big difference between an argument and an exchange of information.
This site has almost 3,000 registered users and only about 5% to 10% of the people ever post. This is why.
