removing posts

Is there a way of deleting your own posts.

If you go to EDIT on the bar above the message, I believe you can do your own deletions.

Correct.

Not being sure whether "delete" meant "make the post disappear" or just "make the content disappear", I just posted another message in this thread, containing the words: "Test post".

I then chose to edit it and took the option for deletion.

That message (which would have been number 3 in the thread) has now completely disappeared.
