BBC Worldwide is the commercial arm of the BBC. My understanding is that it is not funded from the licence fee... but I could be wrong.

Incidentally, the US mag Guitar Player did a feature on 60 years of the Strat with one track per year: 1959 was Jet Black... really?

1960 was Walk don't run by the Ventures. Not sure that was played on a Strat either!

Walk don't Run was , I assume, played by Bob Bogle on his Fender Jazzmaster. It certainly doesn't sound like a Strat. Trouble is, you never know whether some of these early records were played by session musicians, with their own instruments. Maybe it was on a Gibson !
