This is very interesting. So far, I've only seen a black and white film recording of a part of the show, but never colour footage. The colour footage was probably filmed by another fan in the audience, because the angle is also different.

Always loved the sound of Hanks guitar from this period, nice to see a few numbers with Alan Jones on Bass.
That Video Camera must have been a bit chunky, no digital in those days.

Weird, though. Shadoogie is much better audio quality and way out of sync with the video, and the bass, excellent as it is, is not Alan Jones. The audio matches the Paris performance with Alan Tarney, although the speed and pitch are a semitone out with my record of that. The Jonesy trademark is clearly stamped on the rest of the performance though :)

Wonder why that was done? Takes you back to that Princess Margaret video with FBI vision but Apache sound!

Really interesting post - especially given the debates recently over "authentic" sounding echo. So what about that Wonderful Land echo then ??

Had Hank himself posted that on here would he:

a. Have been ripped to sheds by anoraks
or
b. Had everyone immediately changing their echo (those that are capable) to emulate this new found wonderous pattern for WL

Bet none of the audience complained about it ......
