I had a wonderful weekend in Verden, Germany meeting up with some old friends and making some new ones. Horst did a great job putting it altogether, wonderful hotel venue and staff and great food. The place was packed with what must of been 500+ but I have no official numbers. There were quite a few over from the UK which was nice. Brian Locking was there and we played HERE I STAND and so was Jerry Donahue who took time out of his German tour when he heard I was there. He ended up getting on stage with a few bands and he played his NECK of the WOOD version of The Savage with me and the band who supported me. We had no time to try it out before hand and just winged it but it came off and was great fun to do. The audience seemed to also love it which is good. Jerry did say it was a little fast for comfort but we all managed it OK. My bass player for the concert was Arild from The Reflections who backed me many times when I was young. It was very comforting having Arild along side me on stage again. It has been 14 years since we last played on together.
I have been told some people are trying to put together a similar event in Switzerland.
