I am so pleased that I had a chance in 2013 to play this amazing event with The Crickettes. Alan and Dave have done a fantastic job over the years and it will be greatly missed by so many instrumental guitar fans both in the UK and Europe.

Big hole in my musical life, as I've managed to get to 20 out of the 22 Conventions. Consistently good music, great people to meet, CDs to buy... Ah, well, I shall spend next Easter in the bosom of my family.

Alan and Dave - thank you for the music!

I was lucky enough to attend 21 of the 22 Conventions, instrumental music has always and always will be my first choice of music and it was great to see so much talent from around the world and to see that instrumental music was still very popular around Europe. Thank you Alan And Dave for taking the time to put the special event on.

To my eternal regret, I missed the first two due to family commitments.

At least it went out on a high, musically, with a super bill-topping performance by the Jumping Jewels Revival Band. As I said to Rob Bradford at the time, I *never* thought I'd hear their stuff played 'live', especially not by the original lead guitarist!

Hope the DVD arrives in time for Christmas...

"George Geddes" Hope the DVD arrives in time for Christmas...

(genie swirls out of magic lamp) "Your every wish is my command, Oh Master!"
(audience) "Oh no it isn't!"
(genie) "Oh yes it is! - and there will be one last Special Feature, a compilation of clips of 1960s instrumental artists and bands from the whole twenty-two years of the Convention"
(audience) "OK, cut the gags and get it finished"
(genie) "Your every wish is my command, Oh Master!"
(audience) "Don't start that again!"

which is of course very sad :-(
That was a great event with many wonderful musicians and audience.
We are proud to have been a part of the program.
