Agreed, but that doesn't give this pair of rogues the right to rob them. What is it about our law system, admittedly not the worst in the world, which will throw the book at someone who pinches a can of tuna from the supermarket whilst allowing professional criminals, like this pair, to wriggle off the hook time and time again?

Where is this shop based? I haven't watched the programme, but would definitely want to avoid it
I bet if they checked some of the 'Cash Converter' type shops, they'd find more than 10 stolen items

They did have a shop in Leeds City Center ,but last time I looked they said they only did mail order from there ,the shop had become a cafe I must check it out if I go into town next week.

I have been to Denmark Street a few times and if these are the same people I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
The shop is full of, shall we say, very used and abused guitars with high price tags. Anyone thinking of purchasing one of them would need to check the provenance
very carefully.

Still they may not be there much longer as this iconic street of musical history is apparently due to be demolished to make way for the much vaunted Crossrail project. So goodbye to "tin pan ally". But that's progress I suppose.

What is the source of your 'apparently'? The Oversite developments for Tottenham Court Road Station do not include demolition on the East side of Charing Cross Road.

Not trying to be pushy, but unfounded rumours of 'due to be demolished' can cause problems if they spread.

Ray, I heard about it from an employee of a utilities company involved in street works. I fully accept your concerns, and perhaps I was hasty with the comment. I will check again.

Ok guys.It looks as if I got it wrong. The information my comment was based on stems from an item on a regional news programme which gave the impression that the closure of Denmark Street MAY be a possibility.Crossrail have expressed a desire for the area but nothing is certain as there are the usual consultation procedures to go through. I didn't see the item myself and misunderstood what I was told, for which I apologise unreservedly.

Ray was absolutely right with his comment and I totally agree. Sorry if my post caused offence. Lesson learned.
