Strictly speaking it's the Shadows, with one of their 'Song for Europe' entries...

reminds me of just how much STRONGER The Shads were when John Farrar was in the band...bringing the best out of Hank and Bruce too 8-)

we really do need a proper 'official' DVD of all The Shadows line ups in chronological order performing classic tracks, instrumentals and vocals, over the years from whatever surviving footage can be assembled !

They sang 6 songs that the "Public" had to vote on - EVERYONE was a potential winner IMO -
No No Nina, This House Runs On Sunshine, Don’t Throw It All Away, Cool Clear Air, Stand Up Like A Man and Let Me Be The One.
Class music like that isnt written any more for the Eurovision.

My vote was for No, No, Nina but Let Me Be The One was very good and had that Eurovision oom-pah effect that was still thought to play well in Europe at the time.

As to your question Steve -- yes, that is a capo.

Let Me be The One was the best in terms of being a 'Eurovision Song'. However, I think that a couple of the others really should have been released as singles, as I think they'd have been hits. Cool Clear Air, in its Eagles-ish vein, could have been one of them.

(Don't Throw It All Away and Stand Up Like a Man definitely amongst the others...)
