Why oh why do people jump on a member's posting when English isn't their first langauge. I could tell what the guy meant and I'm sure those querying the 'back flick' of the plectrum but no, frightern the guy into not posting without first thinkling 'am I going to be riduculed'. I've noticed since becoming a member it's alway the same people doing the criticising

+1, Jean
I love a bit of Jolly Banter but we have to be careful when English isnt the first language. Our verbal madness isn't always understood in the right way.

I knew what he meant too, but I can't put into writing how it's done, as Tab said, it's easier to show how it's done. ;)

I think the technique with the old version of this tune and some others is having the action set very low to the point where the strings are practically sitting on the frets, no matter how hard you hit the strings with a normal action you dont quite achieve the same as Hank,as in crackerjack or the original version.

I just listened to the slow version of the 'solo’ posted in this thread;
I can’t help thinking that (at the end) Jet Harris is playing accidentally the bass notes to an E chord
where Bruce plays an Am. Then after two notes he quickly changes to Am.
What do you think?
