The Shadows original album series

Does anyone know if the new 5 CD box set contains both the mono and stereo versions of all tracks? Also, will there be more volumes? Volume 2: "Jigsaw", "From Hank, Bruce, Brian And John", "Shades Of Rock" and "Rockin' With Curly Leads" and volume 3: "Specs Appeal", "Live At The Paris Olympia", "Tasty" and "String Of Hits".

They should have had Shadows Greatest album in this package along with the first five albums - that would have been an incredible offering. It's funny how albums from those days often didn't include any singles. I like collecting them now actually from various artists. I remember a friend looking at the Shads first album and being surprised there was no Apache.

Ivo:
It's only the stereo versions of the first five original albums.
Some artists have had a second volume released, I guess it depends on how well the first one sells.

Hi All,

I brought this Shadows original series 5 cd boxset today from HMV for £9.99, which i thought was a great price. It has got the following albums: The Shadows, Out of The Shadows, Dance With The Shadows, The Sound of The Shadows and Shadow Music.
I like the way these albums are presented in individual cases, almost like little record sleeves.
It's great to finally have some of the original albums as i have only got a number of the Shadows compilation albums. Although i don't think there are any different songs on them, that i haven't already got, i like having them as original albums. I'm very happy with them :P
I have brought a couple of these original album series over the last few months, The Drifters and Otis Redding. There's plenty of other artists that they do aswell.
I used to be a big vinyl collector so i love the fact that these cds are like little original record covers (shame they don't come with that record smell aswell  ). The size of the 5 albums in their sleeve box, only really take up the same amount of space as 1 normal cd in it's plastic casing, which is great if your a big collector of cds. I hope they do do a Shads volume 2, and maybe a Cliff 1 aswell. Maybe Billy Fury, Gene Vincent, Roy Orbison, i could list forever, wishful thinking don't hurt anybody does it??? I will be buying more of these Original Album Series.

There are no extra notes, just reproductions of the original sleeves.

On a slightly different note does anyone know if the nod has been given for a Shadows Part 2 1967 - 1980 CD collection yet? I enjoyed the first box set.

This Original Album release received a brief but very positive review in this month's Record Collector magazine. Amazon had it priced at £9.32 but it has gone up to £10.72 today. Still excellent value for five albums...

Bought this a few weeks ago and have enjoyed listening to it. To my ears, they all sound FAB! (I will admit that, of the five, my favourite is Shadow Music.)
