On the GMTV clip you can also see Hank playing the Oasis strat, the giveaway is..... it's has just 21 frets and the darker color.... :geek:

Rob

Rob - I saw the oasis strat on the gmtv clip too but I'm pretty sure he didn't use it last night (of course it doesn't have his signature on the headstock either).
The scotsman strat is an interesting one - i think it only has 21 frets as well - and the modern fender logo. He only used it for one number.
Should also mention that the programme is really top quality. Lots of photos of memorabilia and also from rehearsals

There's a review on 'William's Cliff Chart site' which reveals that 'High Class Baby' was one of the surprise songs.

Hi Guys

So pleased seeing our guitar Heroes are on the road again. :P

Please, can you tell us more about the instrumental numbers played for the tour. Which one and how many???

Best regards and we cross our fingers for them... :)

Pierre :)

The instrumentals mentioned in John Geaney's review on William's site (quoted above) are Dance On, Wonderful Land, Sleepwalk and The Savage plus one other- name omitted. Dare I guess Apache or FBI?

From memory the instrumentals included Shadoogie, Foot Tapper, F.B.I., Dance On, Atlantis, Wonderful Land, Apache, Sleepwalk and The Savage.

There were two Shads sections - one in the first half and the other in the second half.

The sound was fantastic. When the band let rip on things like Dynamite, Nine Times Out Of Ten and The Savage they were just brilliant!

It's a long time since I heard The Shadows sounding so good. What a band!

It makes you wonder why it all has to come to an end at the end of this tour?

Thank you for the review. About the title of this thread - in danish we have a saying "Det er ikke sjovt - det er haervaerk". Translated it becomes something like this:
"It's not funny, it's vandalism"
Incredible to think on - they are all pensioners. Isn't it marvellous that they can still going on like that?.
I'm starting the countdown to Friday.

Bernard, thanks for the info regarding Hanks strats on the first gig.
What about the double six?? Really a Apache twelve string or a legend version?....on the rehearsal pic(the one with the teacup) on Warren's twitter page you can see it's a flathead guitarneck...
Hanks original Burns green-burst double six is fitted with a Rez-O-Tube tremolo..look at the Together video.

Rob - it's definitely an 'Apache' Double Six - I saw it up close - it has 'Apache' engraved on the bridge (with the Indian headset logo) and also at the 12th fret.

Rob - I'm pretty sure that the 12 string used on the together video (for don't talk to him) didn't have a tremolo arm - although as you say it may have (i'm not sure) had the trem bridge

I'm not sure if he used the trem arm last night when he was playing it - I think he maybe just used finger vibrato
