Not been in a while so it was good to see the (careful here!! ) old faces and Ecca knees again. I've missed them knees.
Bakey was there on a rare Royal visit too, flatulent as ever - good to see nothing changes.
I was even presented with a Commerative Cheese and Onion Cob (delicious!!) by Roger Bayliss as a memento of the occasion and as a reward for getting off my arse and turning up!!
Good to hear the standard of playing was as high as always - some really good music.
My BT CD wouldnt play on Rogers Boom Box ( I think I'd put Bakeys CD copy of "Debbie Does Burntwood" in the jewel case by mistake!) so we dug deep into UBH etc - was great fun, even if I did forget how the end of Frightened City goes!! LOL!
I got to run my 57 re-issue through Rogers Vox Heritage AC30 and the sound is just amazing!! Its all they say it is. "Its Been A Blue Day" sounded absolutely Magic.
Many thanks Roger for the use of - very much appreciated.
See you in the New Year guys - have good 'un.
cheers
ian

Boing.... I phoned you Tuesday night from the Hankies but no-one answered.
All the lads were there, ready to sing a carol to you.
Where were you ?

Of course Ian, you could always play through a "Real Vox" ;)

O.k. it's only 15 watts but it's nicely broken in! Fag burns and all!

The person whose AC30CCH I upgraded on Tuesday went away with a
big smile on his face anyway, he said it sounds like his old AC30 now!

I see Mr Bakewell is honouring us with his presence next week as well!

Merry Christmas to all at the Hankies - no doubt Ecca will supply a sprig of holly for sticking into the cheese cobs next Tuesday. If you do get a club PA you will need at least 1,000 watts to hear the backing tracks when Ecca's in full flight!
Coming to you from Cheshire I always go A500/A34 down thro Stafford and Cannock - much better than the M6 which is usually very crowded around 7.00 pm. Doesn't take much longer either!

Best wishes

Neil
