Hi folks, someone mentioned to me that there was "seaweed" used in Abbey Rd, can anyone fill me on about this. Have a great day. Scott

Hi! Scott,
are you sure it wasn't just 'weed' that was used?

Just a thought,
Mart.

Hmmmm! is this it?

Seriously, I think I've seen a reference to it in Recording The Beatles. It's a huge tome, so I'm not about to re-read it just for that. But it's just such a crazy idea it's quite probably true.
We have plenty of seaweed here in Whitby (and 'weed' I'm told) so if you fancy soundproofing your studio I know some good B&Bs.
Love, Mart.

I *think* someone made reference to it when Marcaster Sr. and I were there last year - I think it used to be used as a filler in the long, beige drapes that still hang down the walls in Studio 2, but I'd imagine that's long-since been replaced by something less flammable (and smelly) now.
