From Hank's Gypsy Jazz Facebook page:

"Great news .. Thank you HMGJ fans in the USA and the many other countries who have supported 'Django's Castle'. This CD continues to reach many around the world. In between preparations for their upcoming NZ /AUS tour in November, Hank, Nunzio & Gary have begun recording a new CD project which is due for release in 2016. Stay tuned..

Hi Donna,
That's great news!
I sincerely hope that Hank will find an easier (for the customers) and cheaper way of distribution for the new album. I strongly believe that potential buyers are not willing to spend some GBP 20 for CD. The download price was basically okay but one had no artwork, no booklet etc which comes with a CD you get in the shops for approximately the same price.
Best wishes,
Ulrich

I'm the same, i won't pay the price i did for the last one it was something £25 plus an import charge of £8 (maybe someone could find my original post where i moaned about it). I refuse to download it and prefer the physical item, i'm old school!
It's good that Hank is still recording albums though so hats off to him for that but i'd have preferred a follow up to last year's 'Hank'.

Pity "old school" by note using the download route you missed a excellent album. I agree with everything you say about the physical cd but sometimes the option is not worth considering. Unfortunately jazz is not a money spinner for major labels in the UK even with the name of Hank Marvin attached. Europe seems more appreciative so maybe some one there could distribute it.

There are lots of other jazz CDs available by international artists who are far less renowned than Hank Marvin which don't cost £30+... I'm 51-year old "old school"! But the most important thing is...Hank's recording a new album and touring, albeit in Australia and New Zealand. Such a shame that his projected gypsy jazz tour here a few years ago never happened. BTW...Are they just a trio now?
