Yes 'Santa Ana' was overlooked beyond the fanbase - how many Shads compilations have you seen it on ? (just one I think) which is a shame...

It's generally believed that Santa Ana was written by Petrina Lordan, Jerry's first wife, not by Jerry himself.

Yes, the PRS database confirms this, actually giving the composer as Petrina Forsyth (maiden name?), with Petrina as possibly the original working title, and Santa Ana (Santa Anna) as alternatives...

Long since departed from that address in those far-off 3/- song copy days, Belinda later morphed into the Carlin Corp. At that time, the Shads used rehearsal rooms based at 17, Savile Row.

No one has mentioned it yet but I really like 'Song of Mexico'. I know it's John Farrar's favourite of the Harris/Meehan era. I also think Morning Star is a great melody!

I think Song of Mexico was The Tony Meehan Combo. Jet wasn't involved or credited.
