South Coast Shad Club - 12 year Aniversary

Worthy of a mention is our next meeting on the 28th of October (next Wednesday) celebrates our twelfth full year of our club, John Gray and myself would like to thank all players and listeners past and present for helping to make this happen.

Starting with only a few players ( Brian, John, Terry and our very own Bob Dore ) after encouragement in 2003 at Shadowmania we were happy to play at a Pub in Rowlands Castle (The Fountain) with backing tracks through a PA with a Vox and RFX 2000. Gradually, through ex band members we developed a 'Club' Band' and called ourselves the Shadders.

We moved to The Heroes Pub in Waterlooville over 7 years ago and still meet every Three Weeks. A lot of the guys that come we regard as friends as well as players, we all have a common interest in loving the same type of music.

We have been lucky enough to have Jet Harris, Phil Kelly and Daniel Martin as guests and hear them play - what a treat!

After doing what must just over 200 Club Nights we are all booked up for 2016 at the Heroes so looking forward to another year. So thanks again for coming out rain or shine to keep playing these great tunes and for keeping the Shads music going.

Thanks to Geoff and John,many of us have been enjoying our fix of Shads music every three weeks for years. Wow,thanks for all your hard work in keeping it going. You have given so many people the chance and encouragement to get up and play with a very good backing band,and have a go! A fantastic experience for many of us who perhaps never ever thought might happen. Thanks Geoff ,John and the Shadders….. Ken.

Well here we are - its tonight

Just a normal night ( apart from being Halloween Week ) The Heroes will be decked out in Cobwebs ( No change there then )! Some will be dressing up - some wont need to.
