NORTH NOTTS CLUB CHRISTMAS BASH Sunday 20th December

Postby pjr » 13 Dec 2015, 17:12

Hi folks and here's your usual reminder for the next Notts Club meeting on Sunday 20th December and I'm glad to announce that
entry to the club will be free on this occasion. :-D

Don't forget we are now at the new venue of Hodthorpe WMC (less than a mile from the old venue)
and until I win the lottery this will be our new home for the forseeable future.

So if you fancy kicking off the celebrations a day or two early then please come along and spend the day with us.

Anyway whether you can attend or not, we wish all our club members and all on this wonderful forum best wishes for Christmas and the new year.

Cheers for now,

Pete and team North Notts.

Hello Pete

Hope to be with you on Sunday. I'll remove about half an inch of dust off my guitars and see if I can remember where to put my fingers in order to play a tune.

Best wishes

Hiya Pete,
Sad to say We will not be able to make it this time, recovery from the op is taking longer than I ( optimistically) hoped and I am not allowed to 'play out' for a couple of weeks.
Please pass on our good wishes to all at North Notts for the Festive Season, we look forward to being at the next meeting
Take care

The North Notts Christmas bash was very well attended today, with a crowd, almost filling the room to full capacity
- including most of the regulars and a few new faces - surprising as it's so close to Christmas.
Alan Jones (ex Shadows Bass Guitarist - for the few of you who don't know) was present - he played Bass on a number of the live sessions, in his usual very relaxed and humorous style.

Many thanks to Pete and team for organising a thoroughly enjoyable end of year do.

Well I had a great time and this was my first visit, so thanks to all for the great welcome. This is my second Shadows Club visit in a week which was good, as I hadn't attended one for a few months due to my impending house move. So apologies if my playing was a bit rusty.

Having a real Shadow in the audience does aid the concentration though!
