Was listening again the Brian's album and my favourite at the moment is Midnight Cowboy, it's almost as good as Hank's 1969 version!

Let's not forget that Hank was in the UK last year to promote his album. It's possible that he could have recorded his part at Brian's studio during that visit. There was a photo online of Bruce recording at Honeyhill but, admittedly, none of Hank, so, who knows...

Hank did an interview for a newspaper in his studio while he was recording his part, I can't find the link but I think it was posted here as a pdf some time last year, regards. Gary

Personally, I think this is a better version :)

...Which just shows how long the gestation period was for this particular album!

I am assuming that because the majority of the music was recorded in Radlett (well, everything apart from Hank's contribution), that it just looked neater for the credits to have them as presented.

It's nice to see them back even for just one track and gives you an idea what they would have sounded like had they continued.

What it has shown me is that there are many fine players around and they've been liberally used by BB in this collection. We should welcome that because these guys are Hank and Bruce's legacy.

Well, I have just downloaded the four bonus tracks, for the princely sum of £3.98...

As always, the bugbear is that there are no sleeve notes.

I wonder if Warren could share the lineups for these tracks with us?

Got the Album yesterday and it is excellent!

If John Barry was here today, I'm sure he would be please with the result :-D

I had not heard some of the original tracks before so was not sure which one was The Appointment but as soon as I heard Bruce's gentle acoustic guitar and the first notes of Hank's strat, I knew I was on the right track (boom-boom!). Excellent number for The Shads to record and I loved Bruce's up-temp acoustic parts...spot on!

I love On Majesty's Secret Service with its powerful guitar and also We Have All The Time In The World with gentle and sensitive guitar playing.

Suffice to say, although I have the CD I am going to buy the downloads for MP3 as this will be great to listen to whilst going for my regular runs.

Well done Brian and all involved, a great album by great musicians!

Good album but by heck doesn't it show up what Hank has got that others simply don't have - and what Bruce brings to the scene as well. Apart from maybe Knopfler I wish the master was doing all the lead guitar work.

I have to say I agree with you. I also like the Romance...especially the ending.
