Licorice is 69 today

Our good friend Brian "Licorice" Locking reach the 69-year point today, the 22nd Desember.

Best wishes to an instrumentalist (harmonica, bass, guitar, piano, clarinet etc) and a very nice person.

It's always a bugger having a birthday so close to christmas, my parents used to tell me "We'll get you one big present" instead of two.

I have Lic's birthday as 22/12/40, which makes him 69.

Since he neither celebrates birthdays or Christmas, the proximity of the dates is academic!

Hi All,

I´ve been with Licorice this morning taking him to the station is his travel back to UK from Spain. Although I knew he doesn´t celebrate birthdays, I asked him and he told me he was born in 1938 and he doesn´t celebrate birthdays but every year he receives congrats from his mum and his brother phone him too and that´s nice in his own words. So he is 71 today.

I´ll try to write a report about his concert here in Sevilla last weekend but in the meantime.
