An apology

Postby Mikey » 30 Mar 2016, 16:24

Just wanted to apologise for the lack of postings or comments of late but on 23 Dec i collapsed with a bleed on the brain - a subarachnoid haemorrhage they call it - and after two weeks in intensive care, a month in hospital and another month in a brain injury rehabilitation unit, they finally let me home on 7 March. I'm not allowed to drive for 6 months but no restrictions on guitar playing .....and i can still remember how! You never know what life has in store.

No need for any apology Mike, I'm pleased that you have come through it the right way. :)

I have not mentioned this before but in January 2015 I had an operation to remove a blood clot from my brain ,this resulted in my having an intraoperative stroke .I also had a postoperative seizure all of this left me weak on my left side stopping me playing my guitar. After over a year I am still waiting to get my driving licence back and I still do not feel up to driving and my guitar playing is very hard to do, things are improving slowly but I don't know if I will ever get back to what I did before.

Sorry to read about your health problems Mike and there is no reason to apologise
after what you have been through.I think a lot of us have found that getting old
does not come alone.Just keep going and hope things improve enough to enjoy
life again.

Derek
So sorry to hear what you're having to go though. Yes, progress does seem slow but when you look back you can see that things have been improving. Ive been given 6 months off driving....could have been a year....not sure if i coukd have coped with that! Take care Derek and you WILL get there!
