Hi all,
What a wonderful weekend we all had. Thanks must go to all those involved in putting on the Gala, from the guys setting up, the ladies on the door , those on the sound desk ,the announcers and compere, the lads sorting out playlists and those who brought equipment.
The players who came along and played to backing tracks and with a live band were fantastic and you should all be very proud of yourselves.
Our groups, Sounds Instrumental from Newcastle, Ian McCutcheon Band, The Fentone Four, Down South , Legend and our special guests over from Sweden, Lennart Clerwall and Kurt Froburg, were superb.
It seems they loved Scarborough and were made so welcome by everyone so much they want to return next year with The Ryders and Lennart too.
The dates are now booked for next year as 10th and 11th June 2017.

Totally agree, Linda. A fantastic week-end meeting old and new friends with superb live music and of course the delicious haute-cuisine at Walkers on the Saturday evening.
We both thoroughly enjoyed it. Congratulations to all who organized and ran the whole event. Ian and Audrey.

What a wonderful weekend - you only had to look at the faces of the audience to see what a good time was being had.

It takes a lot of effort putting on an event like this and thanks to all involved.

Both Lenny Clerwall and Kurt Froberg went down a storm and really enjoyed themselves after travelling over from Sweden.

It's great news that they will be returning next year along with the rest of Kurt's group the Ryders and they were all delighted with the idea.

Just to say a big THANK YOU to all you lovely people at the East Yorkshire Guitar Club Gala in Scarborough! We had an absolutely fanstastic weekend with you all, in fact it was one of the best weekends ever for us from Sweden. We are really thrilled to come back next year with both Lenny and my band The Ryders. Special thanks to Ian and Linda for their great generosity and the gifts we got from you!

Would like to add thanks on behalf of all us travelling rockers from the Southwest.
Another superb weekend and thanks to all our hard working hosts, especially those lovely ladies at the entrance tables who charged us very little money for a weekend of memorable entertainment. A bargain.
Lenny Clerwall is a master composer, musician and an awesome bass player. I think he was amazed at how many of his tunes were played through the weekend.
Kurt Froberg is up there with the best, and look forward to seeing him, with his band the Ryders and Lenny next year.
A big, big thank you to Dave Eyres for playing drums for us, much appreciated.
Looked like a full house of fans, players, old and new friends, so mark next year in your diary.

Roger Allcock played lead on the first 3 tracks and Kurt Froburg played lead on the rest.
