Noiseless V4 pickups & Fender American Standar pickups

I wonder if anyone has compared the sound of V4 noiseless pickups (Fender Elite 2016) with FAT-50 Pickups (Fender American Standard).

Do they lose noiseless pickups the Fender sound characteristic ?. Thantks in advance.

Hi Antonio,
I have not tried the Fender Noiseless pickups, but I don't think they would sound the same as the FAT 50s in the USA Standard Strat. I do have a USA Standard Strat, & it gives the usual Fender bright sound that we all know.

The Noiseless pickups have different specifications. 9.8k ohms & Alnico II magnets : http://intl.fender.com/en-GB/guitar-bas ... ged-white/

The Fat 50s have Alnico V magnets & are around 6 - 6.3k ohms.

This would suggest that the 'Noiseless' set would be louder & fuller in the Mid-range, leaning towards a typical humbucker pickup tone, & would drive a valve amp at a lower gain stage. I believe these are the type of pickups on the Eric Clapton Strat, so expect his tone.

I thought that something like this should be for the double winding of the noiseless.
The sound that I like is the traditional Fender sound ever.

I think I'll decide by an American Standar. Thanks again.

I don't know about V4s but can vouch for the Noiseless V3 pickups as I just bought a fiesta red USA Deluxe fully loaded body from Stratosphere on ebay.
I have a 1963 Strat and a USA Vintage Re-Issue '62 Strat to compare and can tell you that the V3s sound almost identical. Recommended !
That said, back in 2000 I bought the Hank Marvin Vintage Kinman set and they sounded nothing like and were duly despatched. I understand that they have improved, but have yet to play some of the new ones.

Dave grateful for your response. I will consider in my decision.
In comparisons that are on youtube between noiseless pickups and Standard Pickups (FAT50) I see many difference in favor of the stardards (more clarity, more crystalline sound, more "That Sound".

The FAT 50s are nothing like the sound of Hank's early Strat, we had a set and they were good but not for that.

Dave I agree but the Elite model comes with noiseless pickups and pickups Standards come with FAT50.
Another option would be to buy the guitar and change the pickups but is very expensive.
I'm still thinking.
