Why not a 'Shadows story' movie?

If a Shadows documentry was done, i would hope it was a LOT better than Eight Days a Week, i bought it on DVD and was disappointed by it.
The Manchester show had the original audio removed and replaced by the Hollywood Bowl footage, other clips suffered from overdubbed audio, the 1965 Blackpool Live and the Washington footage were both colourised for some unknown reason. It would be fine for casual Beatles fans but bigger fans like myself would be better to stick to Anthology.
A Shadows Anthology? Now there's an idea!

Jet was a drinker which annoyed Bruce but is that too tame with alchohol being legal (unless you're driving)?

Apache was the first thing a lot of British guitar players learned to play and for some even before learning chords, this was before The Beatles were ever heard of nationally.

In spite of the fatalistic 'Rock music started with The Beatles' theory - given as the reason for the Shads' low media profile these days - BBC4 have done a number of documentaries about rock/pop music and individual artists from before The Beatles, for example their Rock 'n' Roll Britannia programmes plus docs on Billy Fury, The Everlys, Roy Orbison...even Mrs Mills! So a documentary on The Shadows would still be feasible. But as has been mentioned, I think the perception abounds that there would be insufficient interest

True. Both Bruce and Brian have been interviewed on camera more than once by the BBC in recent years. They seem to be the 'go to guys' when talking about the 50s and early 60s. Even Liquorice was in one of these documentaries recently. So they must have got their phone numbers and must know who they are and something of their legacy.

Ahem...

I believe Stormzy is a hotly tipped artist in the genre known as 'grime'.

I feel there is no chance of Hank recording any of *his* numbers...

Also there doesn't seem to be that much film footage of The Shadows from the early 60s.

I guess this is why we see the same few clips over and over i.e. FBI on Crackerjack or wherever, etc.
